Currently, the University of Michigan is my dream college! I would love to get accepted into their BFA in Performance program and their Literature program. Since I am a rising sophomore, i thought i should find out i should aim towards in terms of school, extracurricular, etc for when admission time rolls around.

So, how high do i need my gpa to be? and how high do i need to score on the sat/act? Do i need to take any sat subject tests? What are the acting auditions like? What kind of things does the admissions board look at?

Thank you!

You don’t need to take SAT Subject Tests to apply to Michigan. I’m not sure at all how the Theater school selection process works though; I’m sorry! Good luck!

To be accepted into the theatre school, first you need to pass academically to get an audition. I don’t think there’s a cutoff, but I’ll look around and see if there’s a general consensus on the GPA/scores.

You can apply to both the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance for the BFA in Performance, and Literature will be in LSA.

ok, thanks! I think i might be good academically, but it’s always great to be sure. Does anyone know how many people usually audition and how many usually get accepted?
