Last night I dreamed that I was rejected from Harvard. They hadn't even bothered to write me a nice rejection letter; they sent back my application with "NO!" in black ink scrawled across the front of it. I like to think I'm a pretty level-headed person, but I guess the idea of rejection/failure stresses me to the point where I have nightmares about it... I don't know. Either way, it's not something I want to think about during my three-week winter break.

So has anyone else had dreams about the admissions process?

expect the best but prepare for the worst.
i am bracing myself for rejection....harvard rejects a lot of people
that way i will be very very very happy if i get in :D

That's good advice, I think. I'm not even applying to college until next year, but apparently I'm already worrying about not being "good enough".

Good luck with your applications! :)

Yeah I had a really weird dream like 2 weeks ago. I've already been accepted ED to Wake Forest and in my dream I also applied to Penn and was accepted. And they both found out and took away my acceptances. It was really scary. For a couple minutes I thought it was true.

well u'r only a junior. seriously chill right now. forget the fact that college even exists and do what u love.

Most of my friends are seniors (I'm a junior) so they've been kind of irritable and jumpy this year becuase of college. I'm now really scared of college and senior year because from what I've seen...it's not fun. But yeah, I guess we should both probably just worry about it later.

I don't think I'm literally worrying about college; I think I just fear failure in general, and in this specific dream it took the form of a college rejection. I agree with you, though--it's definitely too early to be stressed about it!
