Admissions Notification

how do you know if you got into ucsd or not? when i log in it doesn't show anything and i didnt get an email from them telling me to check status or anything...

you can go to the UCSD thread, but we think that there is a system error. no one is seeing their admit/reject page anymore. and there was no e-mail. you can try seeing if you are allowed to apply for housing or not...

yeah.. something is wrong with the UCSD site.. my friend tried to log on yesterday and couldnt get on..

I've checked UCLA 4 times today! no luck! haha

haha. i made an account early last year too. they just have you put in your UC Application ID i think. and the trick was that when admissions were released and if you're in, you just login to URSA, and the page should say submit SIR or something like that.

Can someone send me the lin to create an account? Thanks.

I've just made an account as a new student with my UC application ID#, and suprisingly, it worked. I've tried logging into URSA, but it's down until 6 PM today. ARGH. Looks like I'll have to wait a few more hours, but I can log into "my financial aid" and stuff. So, hopefully this is good news. You guys should try too, and tell us what happens.

EDIT: OH GOD, GOOD NEWS. I was assigned a UCLA ID# as well. To check this, go to manage your account in URSA and it'll show it.

so are we supposed to say we're an admitted UCLA student? when it asks?

Yes, and then use your application ID number instead of a UCLA Logon ID number.

can someone give me the link to make an account? ALso, how are they suppose to know that we are appplicants? Do we use our UC ID somewhere?

i think the ucid number is just random when you log in?

i logged in too.
i dont think it means anything guys.. lol sorry

Step 1) Create a URSA Account. Here.

<a href="https://logon.ucla.edu/activate.php?izhost=pisis&izrdata=izappid%3dedu.ucla.ais.ursa%26izpdata%3d%5B/url%5D">https://logon.ucla.edu/activate.php?izhost=pisis&izrdata=izappid%3dedu.ucla.ais.ursa%26izpdata%3d</a></p>

Step 2) Select "New Student" AKA, for people who were admitted.

Step 3) Type in necessary information, but use your UC application ID number instead of the UCLA ID number.

Step 4) Test to see if it works. (Worked for me.)

After this I went to "Manage my account" in URSA, and I was provided a UCLA ID number, which is apparently only given out to students and faculty members.

Proof:
UCLA Identification (UID) (1001121)

Site, how were you able to get into URSA to access your account information to see your UCLA ID# if it is down until 6 pm?

^ i dont think it means anything, but im really really desperately hoping that it does!
more reassuring facts, please!

<a href="https://logon.ucla.edu/%5B/url%5D">https://logon.ucla.edu/</a></p>

Manage my UCLA Logon ID.

Type in info.

ID should show up there.

^ carmelo, its not through URSA

this is what i got when i looked at financial aid:
"Sorry, there are no Notices available for you to view for the period selected. Please select another Academic Year."

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!?!
site, did you see something different?

No, that showed up for me as well, mainly because I didn't apply for financial aid. Lol.

Anyway, I don't think we'll know until 6PM today, when URSA opens. Many of the people whom I've talked to were able to make one and I doubt all of them were admitted.

Yeah, I think the real test would be to see if there was anyone who could NOT do this.

I can log on too with my information. But just now tried to create an account with totally bogus information and it said there was no match. So at least we know its not a total glitch in the system and any information can generate an account.
