Admissions Notification

so technically if someone was not admitted, they shouldnt be able to sign in right?

Recalling from last year (not sure if I remember this correctly), I think everyone was able to sign in regardless if they were admitted or not.

maybe someone should call and just ask when deicisons are coming out, haha. It's weird how UCLA does not even notify students of a specific date.

Where is this 6pm stuff coming from?

Not sure if it means anything, but I was able to make an account (pretty sure I'm in, I got the engineering 'likely letter' and all.

I have a twin brother. We calculated his odds of getting in (based on GPA and SAT) as being lower than 10%.
Tried to make an account for him.
It didn't work.
The error said that "Your UCLA Identification Number must consist of 9 digits.", though it worked fine for me, using the primary UC number.

So, maybe being able to make an account means something?
Not sure.
Good luck, everyone.

Boiker: The 6PM stuff is because their URSA system is only online from after 6PM on Sundays. People want to try and login there to confirm if they are admitted.

I was also able to make an account! I hope this is a good indicator :D

Couldn't making an account now screw your real (later/admitted) account up?

so we have to wait till 6 PM today to check?

omg mine worked!!! it gave me an ID number too

so you guys created a username and password too, on the page where it says:

"Your UCLA Logon will be your main campus identifier. You will use it to log in to most campus-wide applications.

Once selected, a UCLA Logon CANNOT be changed!!! This is your life-time identifier. Please choose carefully."

I just want to make sure I'm on the right page.

^ yea...

Sophicles..are u sure about ure brothers situation...?? cause that would mean i we can create an account we would be in.

lol yea just make it like you first initail and last name or something you wont grow out of

anjew09: I doubt it. If you're admitted though, you'll have to stick with the account you're going to make right now.

TellItToMe: Yeah, that's the page.

wait...is it...
1) if you can make an account, you're in?

or

2) log in after 6PM (California time?) onto that USRA site and try to find out?

No one really knows, although my guess is that anyone can make an account, regardless if he/she was admitted or not. I believe once we can log into URSA, there will be some sort of notification telling us to accept our offer of admission, but that's only a supposition.

well everyone can make an account but not everyone can get an ID number

im gonna wait till 6

I don't know if it means anything.
But I do know that he is unable to make an account.

I know I got his birthday right, and didn't screw up the order, because I did it exactly the same as mine.
I tried both his full name and the shortened version of it (i.e.: Chris &Christopher)
And I copy/pasted his ID number (making sure I didn't get any extra whitespace characters etc) and pasted it into the UCLA ID number box.
If there's something else you can think of that could have gone wrong, feel free to tell me and I'll try.
But by the looks of it, not everyone can make an account.
Maybe it's just a glitch; maybe it means something.
We'll have to wait to find that out, I guess.

Yeah, i don't think I received a new ID number...it just directed me to the USRA page and told me about 6 o clock. Waiting is so boring...

I just made the account anyways (hopefully it was the right page!)

and I was able to log onto the URSA, even though once I logged in I got the message:

URSA Online is available Sunday 6 p.m. through Tuesday 1 a.m., and from Tuesday to Saturday, 6 a.m. to 1 a.m., Pacific Time. Please try accessing the system during this period.

Anyone else?

my brothers roomate works for admissions
he said hes not supposed to say anything cause UCLA doesnt want it to be known (i dont get why) but its for sure the 19th online.

positive.
