Quick Question: If colleges are on winter break in January, does this include their admission offices?

I think that you need to contact the admissions offices of the various schools. The campus might be empty, but the administrative staff might be working. There might also be a few students working at admissions and they might be offering tours.

I would check with the individual school. My D’s school has a 3 week break, but the administrative offices were only closed for 1 week.

We took a couple days off, but are open otherwise. Looking at the calendar, we were closed on the 22nd, 23rd, 26th, and 30th in December. Plenty of us were working at home on those days, though.

Most winter breaks are about a month long and with applications to read and process, we can’t do the same. I’ve never worked at a school where admission took a winter break. It’d be impossible in light of the admission time line.

^^^ Thanks so much for your reply. I figured that January must be the busiest time for the admissions officers.
