I'm in deep love with sciences, i love math, im very interested in chem and physics, i got a gold medal and a silver medal in the national chemistry olympiads, i got an honorable mention in the pan-american chem olympiads and i got to participate in the world chemistry olympiads, i got accepted in the Weizmann Institute summer camp, and I am particularly intrested in the very escence of things, of life, how things work, i'm taking higher level physics chemistry and math in the International Baccalaureate diploma programme...

My question is directed to students and whoever wants to answer... im looking forward to going to MIT in 2007, and i wanted to know if these charactersitics fit in the environment MIT offers, and whether this makes me a favorable candidate for admission.

wow it doesn't sound like you would be a good fit at all. mit isn't a really math/science-y school.

are you kidding? you have a passion for math and science. mit is the epitome of this. go for it!

Yeah...math and science=mit.

You should definitely go for it. Sounds super impressive to me. :)

Isn't the Weizmann Institute summer camp only for seniors? Or are you a senior this year?

Yep im 17 in my senior year, i live in uruguay, so my academic year finishes in december, which is why im going to apply to MIT and others for fall 2007

Oh ok. I'll be at Weizmann too this summer. I look forward to meeting you.
