Admissions #'s for 2011?

That's different. There are only 1275 spots in the class, but more students are accepted than there are available spots. Tufts has to try to figure out how many students will turn them down, based on historical evidence, then offer admissions accordingly.

see page 53 of this latest factbook:
<a href="http://www.tufts.edu/ir/FactBook0607Abridged.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.tufts.edu/ir/FactBook0607Abridged.pdf</a></p>

26% overall acceptance rate for 03-04 entering class, 27% for this year's freshmen (06-07 entering class).

I'd guess that the 23% you may be remembering could be for RD only. Didn't see any stats for ED and RD separately, but it would make sense that the RD % would be lower than the overall acceptance rate. I also see that the "Jackson (women)" acceptance rate for 03-04 was 23%....perhaps that is what you recall?

Have a look at the transfer acceptance rate trend...wow....was in the 40% range just a few years ago, last year was down to 14%.

ps..snuffles, page 52, 06-07 SAT mean = 1405, 03-04 SAT mean = 1333

what was the acceptance rate for the class who just got in? the ones starting in fall 2007?

It was 23% our year (Class of 2007).

Hence 26% students admitted off of the wait list :P

I believe it was RD exclusively, as ED acceptance (which I was a part of) was 40ish. I guess I was wrong about the SAT info; i guess that boosts my class ego a bit :)
