I know I have no chance at Wharton, but I'm curious as to what the stats are for CAS. I really don't know what I want to study, but my greatest strength is in the liberal arts and I love Penn. In short, would a 1330 SAT, decent ECs (including a student government position), an EXTREME upward trend in GPA (2.3 Freshman, 3.3 Sophomore, 3.9 Junior, gonna be around 4.4 senior) due to problems at home and moving from NYC to Florida (which I wrote my essay about) and really good recs give me any sort of chance?

id take the sat once more and try to improve about 100 points to get in the average penn range, then write an amazing essay and of course, shining recs will help out too. everything else seems good.

2.3 and 3.3 gpas will hurt u pritty baddly

SAT 1330 is out of 1600, right? What’s the score out of 2400?

If you don’t think that you have a shot at Wharton, then you don’t really have a shot at CAS, either. They aren’t exactly worlds apart in terms of selectivity.

That said, while your chance of acceptance is low, it’s still a possibility. Are you a URM?

1960 out of 2400, and I’m not a URM. I didn’t think I had a particularly good shot, I just wanted to gauge it as accurately as possible. NYU is my ED and I feel like I have a decent shot at getting in, but if I don’t Penn is pretty high on the list so I just wanted some info.

can you weave an interesting narrative around your improving grades? That would help
