Admissions Status Online?

No letter of any kind here either, mrg1227. No email. Live right near the UW. Maybe it was delivered to the neighbors. We’re always getting their mail. It would look really lame and desperate to go knocking and asking if they got any mail for us, though…especially if it turned out to be a rejection.

So I just checked the mail and nothing from UW :frowning:
My acceptance packet from UC Santa Cruz came, though, so that was nice.

Anyone know what was in that email about fafsa? Is it only for people who need additional info or something?

I didn’t get a rejection letter yesterday. I checked the mail today and still got nothing. No official transcript upload.

I live 10 minutes away from UW. And my friends who live in like West Seattle and Renton are getting in.

Does that mean we’re on the wait list?

Most of my daughter’s 500 best friends applied to the UW. Some have heard (acceptances and rejections) and some haven’t – and they all live within a couple miles of campus. I don’t think there’s a pattern.

ehhhhh nothing in northern california today :(

@Twizzle: I think the FAFSA email was just for people whose financial aid stuff has been processed to tell them how much aid they can receive. Most people I know didn’t receive one yet.

The majority of my friends got letters, but I know a few people who haven’t gotten anything yet. Snail mail can be screwy sometimes, so you guys might just have to wait a little longer.

I’ve been checking for my unofficial transcript non-stop and it hasn’t loaded…I’ve seen countless people get accepted on FB… Omg uw.

those of you on here who were accepted: are all of you in the washington are?
is there anyone on here who lives south, like san diego or vegas who has received any news yet?

DD got the mail from UW today, it seems most of her friends got the acceptance letter too. We live in Bellevue, 20 min from UW. Not sure about transcripts, DD doesn’t care. UW is her safety.

sleepless2009

Just a little feedback, parent to parent…not everyone is in your DD’s shoes, and if you haven’t noticed, most posters are a little uptight right about now, as many do not know their status. Words like “don’t care” and “safety” come across a little pretentious. You may want to read your audience a little closer next time.

sleepless2009’s post comes off as a little pretentious and show off ish. (I hope they didn’t mean it that way!)

has anyone been waitlisted yet? if people got rejected on monday, accepted today, does that mean the rest of the letters that havent been recieved yet are wait lists?

rejected on tuesday*

@woof5678, about four people that I know have been rejected and about two people were waitlisted but I’m not sure if that means that they are not still sending out rejections.

if you’re waitlisted, do you hear back before the May 1st deadline?

@virak125, you made me curious! haha
they actually have to wait until the end of June though…
"Only applicants who have received a waitlist invitation letter are eligible to be placed on the waitlist. To be placed on the waitlist, you must complete and return the “Waitlist Response Form” included with the letter by the date indicated on the form.

Students on the waitlist are not rank ordered (for example, 10th on a list of 100). If space for some waitlist students should become available, decisions will be made at that time and will be based only on the application materials we had on file at the time applications were originally reviewed. Please do not send additional application materials.

We are not likely to know if we will be able to admit applicants from the waitlist before mid-June. We will send an update to all waitlisted applicants by the end of June.

To give some historical perspective, there have been years when most waitlisted applicants were eventually offered admission and other years when very few were offered admission. Because of this uncertainty, we strongly advise those on the waitlist to confirm their intention to enroll at another college or university for this autumn."

Okay, I STILL haven’t had my unofficial transcript load. Should I be nervous…?

BTW to those who got rejected, what does the letter look like?

I know if you got accepted it says “the big envelope”.

^ haha thank and no i haven’t heard anything back yet so not sure if accept, reject, or waitlisted. June? oh that suck cuz i wanna have my backup just in case i get denied while waitlisted. And most school deadline is the May 1st date.

@ilikeUW, the letter has the university emblem but it’s not in color. It basically says the typical, “We’re sorry to inform you…” I think the acceptences have color to it.
