Admissions Status Online?

^ I really really really hope so. No one I know received rejections today…but I go to a pretty competitive high school so we’ll see. LFKSLDF i can’t take this.

^The sample size is much too small to make any inference on the matter.

freaking out. i live 20 min away from seattle, and i know a friend who received a rejection letter today.

still nothing in the mail…

Wth… So many people getting rejected…

I just got my rejection letter today. I’m not ****ed, but really sad that this means that I will be going out of state for college. Good luck, guys.

Edit: For some reason, it wont let me spell P.I.S.S.E.D.

We live so close to campus that they could practically shout the information in our direction, but no mail today. I doubt she’ll get in, actually, as it was a bit of a reach and with this economy I bet they’re being inundated with in-state applicants. But we sure hate waiting to find out.

Aww guys. I would like to point out that you can appeal your rejection (or waitlist).

It IS possible (you’ll find out late May/Early June) to appeal and have your admissions decision overturned. I know that because at least one person I know who was flat out rejected has successfully appealed. If anyone is interested, I can write a post about that later.

Also, waitlist letters (first wave, anyway) have gone out. A friend of mine received one.

so they didn’t mail all the letters at once? they are being sent in batches?

@grigg02 what are your stats?

When do the acceptance letters come out? What “wave” is it?

Too small of a sample size or no, the fact of the matter is that people received rejection letters today. And ONLY rejection letters. If anyone in my area had received an acceptance letter I would know because it would be on FB. Or college confidential. Or in my mailbox. So I think we can safely say that rejection letters went out a day earlier than acceptance letters.

I imagine all of us who live close to UW will start receiving acceptance letters tomorrow, and then I imagine they’ll keep trickling in for everyone over the next few days.

Don’t go too crazy guys. The wait should be less than 24 hours for a lot of us. :)

All letters have been mailed as of today. Depending on where you live, we will all find out this week or next.

Naomikt…I really want to believe what you said is true… but nothing is definite. There have been a few people on CC who called admission and asked when letters would be sent out. All the people there said there were ALL mailed out today, which would make me think ALL the letters… regardless of the status: accept/deny/wait list. And IDK for sure because no one has posted a status on FB saying they got in, and I live 20-30 min from UW. And I’ve never seen anyone post a status about a rejection, so there could already be some rejections from my school.

The acceptance rate is 22%, just sayin’

@2plus2equals5 where is that statistic from?

No, I’m pretty sure it’s around 58%.

GUYS. i think rejection letters were mailed first. a girl at my school got her rejection letter today so if you didnt get a letter today (and you live in western washington) this is good news verrrry good news.

^ or it could just be the first batch of rejections/waitlists.

@twizzle true… but i hope @mailmemarina’s theory is more accurate…
