Mailmemarina… I hope you’re right because I live relatively close to UW and haven’t gotten anything. But think about it… What’s the point of mailing out rejections first? Is there any benefit for UW whatsoever? It seems like a little more work actually because they would have to organize who to send a letter and when.

Also consider the size of the package. Big acceptance packets take more time to process, sort out and haul over to the correct area. Smaller envelopes don’t take as long to mail. My mom works for the postal service and contrary to what we all think, mail is not all treated the same. My advice would just to be hang back, chill and wait for that letter.

UW is so annoying. Like they make us wait until mid-March then they make us wait for a letter in the mail! it’s not that hard to just update admission status online!! as much as i <3 UW and it’s my number one school i hate how annoying they are. SO AGONIZING

and also 3 rejections from my school and counting. (at least from what’s posted on fb) i really dont want to get my hopes up but this is making me more and more excited!

@Mail. Have you seen any people post about an acceptance on FB?

FYI: I haven’t seen any people celebrating/moping about UW.

@ilikeUW no acceptance posts on FB but 4 about rejections.

and its probably because most people are like embarassed/dont want to adverstise that they got rejected

Oh snap someone from my school just posted about being rejected from UW…perhaps they DID send out rejections yesterday!

Sent from my iPhone using CC

people at my school have posted about being rejected, but no one has posted anything about an acceptance.

@ ICanDivideByZero:

Are you located relatively close to UW???

wait where in washington are all of you guys? im in the bellevue/issaquah area

I’m in Sammamish

I live about 15 minutes (Bellevue area) from the UW and I’ve only seen rejections on facebook.

I’m in Tacoma

Im in Issaquah, and I too have only heard of rejections.

(told you guys so) hahahah.
I live in Auburn. I’ve actually seen nothing on FB either way. But I’m pretty sure that’s just because people who were rejected wouldn’t be advertising it? If people WERE being accepted, there would definitely be statuses.

I’m baffled as to why UW would send letters in waves like this.

I live in Redmond/Bellevue area. I haven’t seen anything on FB in regards to acceptance/rejection.

they don’t want to overwhelm the poor postman picking up the mail from uw

I live in Edmonds (15 min. north of Seattle) and have only heard of one person from my school being rejected so far. I haven’t seen/heard about any acceptances yet.

^this.

and it makes more sense to send out rejections before acceptances. Kinder for the poor rejectees.
