That was good, legendofmax. Sounds lyrical.

For all I know, the chair I'm sitting it doesn't exist when I'm not looking at it. But I still feel it, so shouldn't it exist? But then that would mean things exist if they affect me. But a tree falling can still affect me if I am not looking at it! Causality owns me :/

basically, that's the debate

This is nearing the point where it will be a "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" type thing, haha.

I think it'd be pretty cool if the chicken AND egg both came first. Wouldn't that be wild?

Yeah...definitely a way to close that argument with a clincher :)

I didn't find it pretentious and I thought it was quite good.

"The point is that God is a creation of man. He exists in soley because we recognize "Him". It relates to the idea that things only exist if they are recognized by man."

Bokonon, I agree with you and I am looking forward to discussions of this nature in college, hopefully, Princeton.

I don't know, I and my family and friends all found it very pretentious.

My one friend said "it was so inspiring, it inspired me not to apply there"

i trust that an admissions video isn't really a good guide though

Almost all schools come off that way in their videos, though.

yeah, i know, that's why i don't really care that much

except columbia's video is really cool it has like rock music and shows all the sights of new york city (you're probably bored with NYC by now though, zante)

lol yea and columbia...has no school spirit =(

I think that I would find it hard to be bored by NYC no matter how long I lived there. I mean, I could spend months in just the Met and not be bored...then again, I may be a little strange, but there you have it.

Though you probably meant that Zant would not be as excited by the idea of living in New York since she already does (lucky her :) )...

lol yea my school is only 20 blocks or so from Columbia...going there would mean being even CLOSER to home than I am now. What would happen to "going away to college"?

When we get in (yes I said when, there's an optimist in me after all) we can all go to nyc together and I'll show you around =)

i love NYC

i love the fountain pen hospital on warren street

NYC=eternal happiness for me. Well, not quite, but I do hope to end up living there one day, if not forever.

2 things, one, give that film an oscar, it was incredible. two, I agree with zan, I too live in nyc, and go to school on the upper west side, in fact, i go to columbia every sat for a class, i wouldnt want to go there, it would be too wierd, also, whoever said Columbia has no school spirit, ur wrong, ive been to columbia games, (my sister was a lion) and they have tons of spirit, its just too bad they suck at most sports.

kinda hard to win football games when your uniforms are baby blue...
what school do you go to?

tobsta-I'm truly in shock anyone would like this movie. I actually invited friends over on Friday to watch it and make fun of it. We were laughing so hard. My friends said, "if you become like any of those people I'm going to murder you."

LOL...ol...ol...

I think it depends on your perspective, like if you start looking for faults you will find a lot. EncomiumII, I think you're watching that video too much...
