What does MIT look for when it comes to admissions?
That’s a pretty broad question. In general, they recommend 4 years of math, science, and english. They also recommend 2 years of foreign language and social studies, but you should take 4 years for any school to be competitive. Taking these at the hardest level (AP or IB) is recommended to be competitive. A 1530 is average on the SAT, but a 1570 would make you competitive. Being in the top 10% of your school is recommended, as well as strong ECs.
