Do we need to bring anything formal for admit weekend? Are T-shirts, jackets, and casual pants fine? Thanks.

No formal clothing needed. Tshirts and shorts are all you will need. Pants and jackets may not be necessary...but probably good to have a couple in the event of cooler weather.

Seconding 2boysima, casual and comfortable is the order of the day, both for the students and the parents. One can never predict the weather of course, and last year I remember being alternately too warm and too cold, so layers are always good.

But whatever you do, don't forget the comfortable shoes -- the campus is large and beautiful and you will traverse it many times on foot, although the kids will eventually do it on bikes!

Have fun! My d is looking forward to hosting a ProFro in her dorm!

Unfortunately, it's really hard to pack for spring anywhere. Bring t-shirts and shorts, and consider a little bit of warmer clothing for cold days or mornings. A rain jacket is a good idea if you have one. Also make sure you bring a swimsuit, as you may end up fountain-hopping at some point. If you like to dress a little spiffier for parties, bring those clothes for whatever the profro party is this year, but don't worry about it if you don't.
