Admitted pending final result

Hi, Did anyone who applied to mcgill university got the same application status as mine?
-> "Admitted pending final result"
What does that mean?
Is this a conditional offer that if I got good result in my finals then I will be accepted?
Or I am already accepted?
I feel confused.
If I accept the offer, and I fall in my finals , what will happen?
Do I need to accept the offer as soon as possible to prevent that there s no more quota for me?

my son got the same…i was worried that if it was conditional and he had to respond by may 1, what if he said yes and then they said not accepted. others posted that as long as you stay with the grades that you have now, and pass, you should be fine. my son has a 4+ gpa, act 33, good satII scores, so i’m not sure why its not a admit with no condition (except he applied to sciences and has a few b’s on his transcript as his school doesnt use b+ which is required for science).

I got not very good SAT score (R 500, V 510, M 730) , but i am an international student from Hong Kong studying in the U.S. . But I got very good SAT II score. The help file said that it means im accepted, so why they added pending final results at the end?

perhaps they have not processed your mid-year report even tho u mailed it already

They added “pending final results” because they want you to graduate.

But did anyone who is not yet graduated, but got only the word “admitted”?
You’re an alumni?

99% sure nobody gets only “Admitted”
and no, i’m not an alumni… lol

“Pending final results” means you need to graduate because they won’t let you in without a high school diploma. To be admitted without “pending final results” you’d have to already have finished high school. That’s pretty much it. They’re not going to rescind admission if your grades dip by then (unless they somehow take a spectacular dive).

I just got accepted to McGill School of Nursing with the same “admitted, pending final results” and it says they just want proof of graduation and AP results. So you are admitted, they just need you to make sure you still graduate etc.
