Would it look bad/could I get rescinded if I do not take some of the AP exams that I am signed up for (because Stanford does not give credit for them)?

I received this email from Stanford when I asked about admitted seniors taking AP exams.

thanks man!

We asked this personally of an academic advisor at Stanford. He told my daughter that in general Stanford did not place much value on AP tests so there was no reason for her to take them if they wouldn’t benefit her as far as credits or placement. This year, none of her APs would benefit her with Stanford, since they are courses like AP US Govt., AP Euro, AP Environmental Science, AP Stat etc. The ones that woud have helped her, either she isn’t taking at all, or she already took them in previous years. So she is not taking one single AP exam this year and we save ourselves hundreds of dollars. If your school doesn’t require them and will still give you AP weighting etc., don’t worry about it.
