CC, I will be visiting Vanderbilt on Monday, but the tours are full so I need a backup plan if they dont take me off the the wait list for the tour. What places do I definitely need to visit? I will be there for like half the day so hopefully I will have the chance to take a lot in. What buildings, dorms, halls, etc do you all recommend that I visit? I am an admitted student planning to major in HOD and Economics or Political Science. Thanks so much for the help!

You should definitely visit -
Sarratt Student Center/Rand (located on main campus/includes dining hall)
Commons Center (freshman housing/life/student center there too/dining hall)
Central Library (main library on campus)

The buildings I go to classes for honestly all look similar to each other and doesn’t really show what “Vandy life” is about. Visiting Rand/commons is the best way to see what it would be like to be a Vandy student.

If you know anyone from the school, you should contact them to see if you can sit in on a class with them (big lecture ones are fine). There’s a 9:00 macroeconomics course - lecture based that would be good to visit/peek in on.
