I had it (the ability to register) and then it went away. They must be working on it.

maybe decisions are going up today? who knows?

“I had it (the ability to register) and then it went away.”
The same here. My portal had the working link last night and this morning but now it is not there at all. :(

Wow you’re right it just went away. I was able to do this about an hour ago… now I can

Hey guys, I just called the Undergraduate Admission office and they said that it is only for Early Decision students who were admitted and if it appears for Regular Decision applicants then it is a mistake and the registration shouldn’t go through. He did say admitted students are provided with the link but no one for RD should have it. Either it was a mistake, or whoever got it did get in but they caught and took it away until decisions come out. I’m not sure what to believe and why it only appeared for certain people.

Maybe does someone want to call and ask why it was there and take away. Maybe they’ll give you a reason why only a certain number of people had it and why they got rid of it.

so do we know if decisions come out tomorrow or what? does that mean we will get an email today sometime notifying us for the decision?

So worried my account status is inactive :// what? I send them all and even talk to them i dont get it :///

It might have been just for people who applied to ESIA because that’s the main connection for all these people that got it

What’s ESIA?

Some one got it for the Sciences and Arts school… I’m so confused

ESIA = Elliott School of International Affairs
CCAS = Columbian College of Arts and Sciences
SEAS = School of Engineering and Applied Science
SMPA= School of Media and Public Affairs
GWSB= GW School of Business

Hey guys, I called the Undergraduate Admission office and wasn’t sure if you saw my post on the other page. They said that it is only for Early Decision students who were admitted and if it appears for Regular Decision applicants then it is a mistake and the registration shouldn’t go through. He did say admitted students are provided with the link but no one for RD should have it. Either it was a mistake, or whoever got it did get in but they caught and took it away until decisions come out. I’m not sure what to believe and why it only appeared for certain people.

@senior1995 thanks. Do you think it could have indicated admission though? Colleges don’t usually make mistakes like that unless they thought we wouldn’t be looking at that page. I’m not sure really

@levelsmevels. Yea I think that the students that got it were admitted and once they found out it was up they took it down until decisions come out, but I have no clue thats just my opinion. The guy on the phone sounded like it was no big deal, he said even if it was there they shouldn’t be able to register. Yet many people were allowed to so I’m not sure whats going on. I am just hoping it means nothing because if it did that would be really disappointing since mine didn’t have it lol. I guess we’ll hopefully find out tomorrow. Good Luck!!

I don’t have it now, but I didn’t check last night to see if it was there either, so it could have been. Ahh tomorrow seriously needs to come faster. I hope I got in! (and that you all get in too! )

I agree, but it’s possible some admitted students didn’t yet have the link before GW discovered their mistake and fixed it. Or, it could have just been a glitch…

[GWU e-mail welcomes rejected early-decision applicants](http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/17/AR2010021704264.html?hpid=sec-education)

They just got my transcript today -.- I hope I still have a chance

@levelsmevels Colleges actually make mistakes in their admissions notifications all the time. It seems like every year there’s an article about a school sending acceptance letters to the wrong people or something.

@love2travel95 I don’t mean to sound rude but you should not consider GW as a safety school. ESIA is extremely competitive. Not to sound arrogant in any way, but I have better stats than you and I definitely do not consider GW to be any sort of a safety for me.
