Admitted Students Receptions Overnights ?

My son is planning to attend one of the admitted student days and would like to spend one night with a current student. . . it seems like Friday is the common nite to stay over, but, if kids fly in alone, they get picked up by Grinnell on Thursday and need to stay over that night. . .

Are there typically alot of HS seniors staying over on Thursday? Would my son miss a ton if he didn't stay on a Friday night? Do any kids stay 2 nights with a current student? - that seems like a big imposition. . . Does it really matter which night, as long as he stays over sometime?

No, the night doesn't matter. One night is fine. I hope he'll love Grinnell as much as my son does; or,if not, that he'll relinquish his spot to another student who would love to be there.

If he decides he doesn't like it, he should call admissions and specifically ask to give his spot to me. However, I'm sure he will love it. Also I never stayed over at Grinnell, but I did at a few other colleges and many people stay over two nights if they fly in early. All the students love "prospies" everywhere I visited, so I'm sure they wouldn't hosting your son for an additional night.
