Has anyone tried logging into the Admitted Students website?

I'm assuming this won't work until after they send out e-mails, but if anyone finds out they can log in, it would be useful to know..

Haven't tried, but I'm pretty sure it won't work as that would defeat the whole purpose of e-mailing decisions.

By the way, if we are lucky enough to be admitted, what will we see on the admitted students' site (obviously this is intended for those who know.)

Technically, I am an admitted student for this year, and I just tried to log in for you guys, and it didn't work. They aren't going to activate the site until decisions have been released from Harvard's office, so don't worry. If you have the pleasure of access to the site, I think you will see some discussion boards in which you can talk to your fellow classmates, but that's about it, as far as I know.

I assume you deferred admission from last year?

Wait.......if only admitted students can log in, and the site is activated on Dec. 15 at 5pm EST, and we need the access code given to us when we applied, isn't that an instant way of finding out if we were accepted in case the e-mail comes agonizingly late?

I still like the idea of waiting for snail mail...but it's an entertaining thought.

That's a really clever idea. Someone should try testing it out on the fifteenth!

I tried to log in and when it didn't work, just thought, well nothing will change... haha.

My kid was accepted early last year and couldn't get into that site until the next day ... and because of that was sure that the acceptance must have been a mistake! (It wasn't.)

However, maybe it will be different this year!

hah yes it is a way, but I would prefer the email to get a full explanation of your decision, rather than a site login.

I did defer my admission from last year.

You '11 applicants are all outstanding, from what I have read. Best of luck.
