just kidding!

now that i have your attention, does anyone know if we can find out if we got in or not by using the admitted students page in case our emails do not arrive on time?

i knew it was too good to be true =D

As for using the Admitted Students Page to see if you got accepted, in a previous thread, I recall someone who was accepted last year saying that they were not able to access the page until the next day, sparking thoughts that perhaps their acceptance email was a mistake.

If anyone is from the chicago area, 19 people got in @13% acceptance

"If anyone is from the chicago area, 19 people got in @13% acceptance"

Are you serious? I'm from Chicago. waits anxiously

How, pray tell, do you know this?

paulfin--how did you find this out? Do you happen to know St. Louis stats?

That means nearly 200 people applied from the chicago area.

When the admitted students page is up, and I imagine someone will notify the forum at that point, if you can log-in to the page, you can be pretty sure that you have been admitted, which is a neat way to learn of the decision.

If I remember correctly, last year (for the RD decisions) they didn't have the admitted students website up until the day after decisions were sent out.

As it says on the Harvard website:

Admitted Students Website
The Harvard College Admitted Students Website will be available on Friday, December 15th after 5pm (EST) once Early Action decision e-mails have been sent.

We'll see tomorrow.

what info will it ask for as input on the admitted student page? My son won't tell me which email address is getting the notice so I (the mom) need to have an alternate way in case he (my son) plays hardball and won't tell me decision right away (suspense is hard on us parents too!)

It'll ask for your last name and id number I believe.

"How, pray tell, do you know this?"

The Harvard Club of Chicago sends this information to alumni interviewers every year.

id = application access code?

I have no fingernails left!
You are all too young to probably know this song, but it's time to listen to tom Petty's "the waiting is the hardest part"!
