Admitted to CSUN!

Hmm…I’ve applied to CSUN (film program) for fall 2011 and have sent transcripts (once before the fall 2010 semester was done and once after). My student portal says I have been provisionally admitted, yet I have not received a letter or email confirming this. Is anybody experiencing the same thing?

I’ve applied to UCLA and SFSU. I got accepted at SFSU and now I’m waiting on UCLA but will most likely be going to Northridge and living on campus at the CTVA-LLC.

they’re still going over my transcripts  I called and the person I spoke to said it would take 4-6 weeks. It has almost been two months!

provisionally admitted!

I’m still waiting, I just sent my fall transcripts in three weeks ago. Still waiting!

Got things all sorted out. About a week ago I was provisionally admitted!

Why are you posting again? You got accepted 2 weeks ago and freaking out because you didn’t get confirmation. It’s completely normal for that to happen because it takes time to process the congratulating emails/mails to accepted students. Anyways congrats again I guess since it’s nothing new.

Are you guys going to stay in the dorms or will you be looking for an apt?

Hi, what number did you call for CSUN admissions? I haven’t heard back yet at all. All I know is that their portal says they have received my vaccinations somehow (which i never sent) and that they have received my preliminary transcripts.

I was just as confused as you… after recieving my transcripts it took them about a week or so to get back to me…
After they accepted me I accepted on the spot.
If you just sent in the transcripts and they just now got them, it might take a while to get back… afterall, it is rolling admissions and they are going throughout all of march and i believe may lead into early april.
Also, regarding vaccinations remember that when you applied you put extrememly personal information such as your SSN etc. The school could have easily seen about vaccinations. How else are they supposed to get documents from the thousands of students applying to the school.

Personally, I’m staying in a place outside of the school. The doorms are just too much to afford even with financial aid. Splitting costs with roomates etc would seem to be the easy way out money wise… unless parents are willing to pay for dorm expenses. The dorms are just very convenient when it comes to commuting around the school, but they also have apartments around the school that are great for students and can be another option.

also, just type csun admissions and records and then look around on the site for the number.
It should be on a tool bar on the right along with the address.
You could also look around the page for a bit to see if the page could answer any of your admission questions or the way csun is reviewing the apps this year

finally got in… took them long enough!
