ADS What is on it...?

They should re-name it the CHS Cryptic and Hyped Scholarship Test...

I have absolutely no idea what is on it...

Is it random trivial pursuit questions, common knowledge, obscure questions from each academic field....???

Anybody have an idea... All i have heard is that it is really really really hard....This of coure coming from 4.0 , ACT 30+ kids.

when i visited the honors college, the lady referred to it as "the SAT on steroids." so I would imagine, pretty darn tough.

That's a pretty apt description from the memory of my experience years ago.

In a letter I got it said the ADS test contained questions about math, science, social science and humanities. Are there any prep materials or are we supposed to just go in blind?

My son took this exam some years ago and he reported that there were many "general knowledge" types of questions, not just the typical "aptitude" or "skills" questions you get on SAT and ACT. I imagine that would apply to different fields, including history, science, and geography. (He did very well on this test both because he's a trivia guy with very good memory and because his ACT/SAT type skills were also excellent.)

Here's a link to a discussion by some experienced ADS takers. Their general advice: you can't prepare for this exam, and don't be too disappointed if you don't get all the answers right!

Thanks, sounds like I'm going to need a lot of luck!!
