I am 36, work full time, have young children, and I am currently enrolled at UK. Due to all of these responsibilities, I am hardpressed to attend physical classes at UK and I am currently enrolled only in online classes. I would be enrolled in an online degree program, but UK is pretty famous for how poorly it accommodates non-traditional students in general and online students specifically. I will have between 62 and 65 credit hours at UK when I am able to transfer to another school. I have been exploring online programs at other schools and Thomas Edison State University seems appealing due to its heavy investment in online programs and the fact that I could take exams and have a portfolio assessment to earn credits rapidly; as best I am able to tell it is an accredited school that is not a diploma mill per se, but it does carry a distinctly unpleasant aura in regards to applying for graduate school. If I were to transfer to TESU and earn a large amount of credits quickly, would it be possible to transfer back to UK for the few remaining credits on a BS and graduate with a degree from UK?
@AdultLearner1981 Found this on UK website:
Transfer applicants should note that regardless of the number of transfer hours the University may accept, all candidates for a bachelor’s degree must complete 30 of the last 36 hours of their program at UK.
