Calling all adult and non-traditional students at DePaul!
Transferred to a DC university. It’s not a good fit. It’s a selective school, but it’s set up for 18- to 21-year-olds. I’m not learning anything, aside from the knowledge I’ve accumulated outside of class, unassigned, reading about the science of adult learning.
What has your experience been like at DePaul? Do the professors talk down to you? Does the culture value students’ experiences/skills/knowledge gained outside of academia – in the workforce, resilience, etc? Do you feel like the school is wasting your time? Or are you learning things that apply to your life and career goals?
Would really value your insight!!
Thanks!
