So how many int'ls are doing APs?
Are you self-taught or are AP courses available in ur city?
Which subjects are you taking?

ummm ASP wat is this chakar about AP's...wats their significance...etc...pardon my ignorance...

taking Calc BC and Macro/Micro econ in chennai (May 3rd and 11th). Yay for credit waivers at NU :)

wasup, APs are a set of examinations offered by CollegeBoard that translate into college credit.
They're scored on a 5point scale. Getting a 4 or 5 would earn you credits sufficient to skip half (and sometimes) an entire year's worth of credits.
It helps students graduate early.
At Cornell for instance, we get 8credits for a 5 on Physics C and Calculus BC.
I'm taking Physics C-mechanics, Physics C-electromagnetics, Calculus BC and Chemistry.

oookay...i c,but i guess there's a limit to how many tests u cud take...

no there isn't.
Some americans take upto 7-8APs a year.
But they're in subjects like US History and blah blah...mainly to do away with other minor neccessities.
Being educating under CBSE, I could do only science related APs...so I choose 4.

ook,so in how many credits can u achieve by taking these four tests?

Just a trivia... do you guys know that the advanced placement tests originated from Kenyon? :D

CTC2, so have u finally decided that u will goto NU??

here we can only take them in May. :(

banedon, what do you mean only in May? I thought that on the College Board website there was no other AP testing date throughout the year.

banedon, APs are offered only in May across the World.

wasup, about 24, and considering that you need only 130 to graduate...its a lot.

okay, so i'm dumb. i didn't knwo there's only one test date throughout the year. :(

7-8 isn't that uncommon. A kid I know took 13 in one year and got all 5's. But that's just inhuman.
