Advantage of taking Community College classes in the summer? Which classes?

Hey guys,
I’m currently a sophomore who is prospectively going to major in Business Admin/Finance/Econ when I graduate. To get a head start and to boost my college apps, I was thinking of taking part in a program offered by a community college in my city. Essentially, you take 6 courses in a field, and you receive a “Certificate of Achievement”, as well as college credit, upon completion. I was thinking of doing this program in the subjects of Accounting or Business Management (Finance/Econ are not offered.) I was wondering if this program is worth the effort (how good would it look on apps?)

Also, Accounting is more higher-end, with classes like Managerial Accounting and others.

Business Management is more basic, but Accounting looks better.

Basically, is this program worth it, and if I wanted to balance this with SAT prep in the summer and junior year courseload in the rest of the year, which one would I take?

Thank You

Will you have completed the correct high school courses so that you are prepared to do well in those classes?

Would those classes transfer to any of the colleges/universities you might be applying to?

How many credits do each of the courses carry? If each is a 3 credit course, it is not likely that you will be able to take more than one or two in the summer. Would you expect to continue taking them during future summers, and if so, what will you sacrifice (vacation, summer job, etc.) in order to do that?

How do you feel about having to request an official transcript from that community college every time you apply to a degree program (or for a job that requires all of your college transcripts) for the rest of your life even if your grades end up being less than stellar?
