I'm starting to wonder if, with all of the controversy surrounding test prep and so forth, colleges actually prefer to see a student with, say, a 2300 score on first and only sitting, rather than someone who's spent so much time and effort as to take it 4 times and get a 2370. I mean, time is finite--if you're studying that much for standardized tests, you can't be out curing cancer and making the national team, right? Or even having a reasonable life, complete with physical fitness and sleep. Or concentrating on your schoolwork, which is what you're supposed to be doing in high school.

I guess my bias is apparent.
