Hi! I got in to the Honors program but I’ve been considering switching to Scholars. What are the benefits of the Honors program? Is it easier to make friends in Honors? Can anyone reflect on their experiences? Thanks!

…you can switch into scholars?
it just seems kind of late…cause acceptances for scholars programs are out now so. so most programs will be full, especially the really popular ones like Health Sci, Bio Sci, Business, PSL, etc…
btw for scholars you have to live at the residence hall for your program. another reason why i don’t think you could just switch. there’s a limited number of rooms for each program. like for mine, Health Sci it’s the whole 3rd floor at Park-Stradley which may sound like a lot but there’s around 150 ppl in that program soo.

You get to pick classes first, you get smaller classes, and you get to say you’re in honors

If you do decide to switch to scholars, you need to inform the University immediately. Housing selections are currently ongoing and if the scholars program where you want to live fills up, you won’t be able to join. Honors and scholars are completely different programs. You cannot apply to scholars as a second year, but you can apply to honors as a second year.
