hi just wanted some reassurance, for current, past or future students what could you see the benefits the elliott school giving someone post college and during?

The ESIA’s is a leading school in the field of International Affairs as you already know. In addition to the undergraduate major in IA’s, it offers undergrad degrees in Middle East, Asian, and Latin American affairs also. It’s Graduate program is also excellent and has many “institutes” associated with it that are centers of excellence and Think Tanks.

The curricula for the undergraduate degrees and the options for concentrations are numerous. The ability for undergrad research is very abundant.

See [B.A. in International Affairs - Undergraduate Academics - The Elliott School of International Affairs](http://elliott.gwu.edu/academics/ugrad/ia/index.cfm)

See the link below for where the Elliott Graduate students actually get jobs and salaries! (This assumes most undergrad students at Elliott will likely need Grad degrees at some point. the Undergrad data is not posted or available.

I don’t know if the Political Science Dept in CCAS tracks the data like Elliott does for their graduates.

Elliott Advising seems do be very good and is separate from CCAS.

Hope this helps. This is input from my “S” also- current Sophomore in Elliott.

Does your S feel the Elliott community is a tight knit one or is it free flowing? I ask because they’re fewer than 3,000 undergrad… also does your S plan on studying abraod?

and again thank you CJ you are always so helpful!

“S” feels Elliott is “free-flowing”. Half his friends are from Elliott, but his best friends/future roommates were from his floor on Crawford 1st year in all majors.

Yes, study abroad is highly encouraged for Elliott students. He’s planning on UCL in London Fall Junior year.

Be glad to help with any other ?'s we can.
