Advice for a stressed IB grade 11?

Hey everyone,

So I am just finishing up and I'm really starting to think about university applications etc./the future...

As far as grades go, I think I'm pretty good. Full IB has been pretty difficult but I've maintained good grades (I think my average is somewhere around 93%, my school does not calculate GPA on a 4.00 scale so I'm not really sure what to compare it to.)

I have a few leadership roles (ex. school newspaper editor), community service (teacher's assistant), and other activities such as studying Italian language outside of school (I take IB Spanish B in school), as well as taking some art classes outside of school.

And my standardized testing scores is another situation I'm not too sure about. I have taken both the SATs and SAT IIs and have not scored very well. However, I recently took the ACT w/ writing with no preparation at all.. and I scored a composite of 31, which is a score I'm happy with. I'm thinking if I actually prepare I'll be able to get it up a point or two, to possibly 32-33 range.

I'm not really sure if my ECs are anything "unique", and how unis view the ACT. I have heard that they prefer the SAT... is that true at all? I really am hoping that I can send just my ACT scores (I know some schools require ACT and SAT IIs but the ones I am looking at do not as far as I know).

By the way, I live in Canada if that makes a difference at all.

Sorry for the length of this!! I would really appreciate anyone's thoughts.. as lately I have been feeling really stressed and would just like some advice.

THANK YOU! :)
