Advice for an American who wants to make films/theatre and wants to move to England

I am a 20 year old Californian who is currently attending community college. The two things I want most in life are to direct films/theatre professionally and to be able to live in England. I've no experience. I am interested in hearing your guys' opinions on what path(s) I could take to achieve my goals. So far I've formulated these options:

1.Transfer to a local University like UCLA for English and get involved in Drama Society/Film Clubs as much as possible. I am afraid of not having access to quality film equipment though, as I likely won't be in the TFT school/other universities' equivalents. I'm also not sure how UCLA is in terms of Drama club/society.

Then: Apply for MA at Oxford, Cambridge, UCL and continue devoting myself to Drama/Film society etc.

Or

Then: Apply at places like Central St. Martins for Directing or National Film and Television School

Scrap traditional University and try to devote myself immediately to getting into a well respected vocational program like the Directing BA at Drama Centre, National Film and Television School or an Acting BA at a conference drama school.

Go "uneducated" and try to get an internship/lowly job at a British production company (seems scarcely feasible to me).

Part of me feels like it's an ambitious enough undertaking to become a film director, let alone to emigrate, but at the same time I feel like they could go hand in hand...as long as I have a plan that facilitates the fulfillment of both goals.

I would be most grateful for advice on my situation.

Thank You
