Do upper tier colleges mind if I only take 3 History credits in high school instead of 4?

I'm going to be a Senior next year and I don't really care for history.

I know that I could take Econ, but what if I didn't?

Would some top tier colleges not like it if didn't take any social science/history class in my senior of high school?

If so, which colleges are against it?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Check CollegeBoard’s college profiles. Under “Admissions” they have a list of recommended credits in different courses. It varies, really. For example:

Generally, colleges care less about history, but it still depends what college you’re looking at.

It should be also noted that rigor of secondary school record is very important. If you’re taking something else that does interest you and is somewhat rigorous instead of a social studies course, then that won’t hurt you at any school that isn’t specifically looking for 4 years of social studies (and even then, they might not care). But if you take a free period or an elective, they might not be as impressed.
