So there is an advice thread for Freshman so I thought I'd make one for us older kids.
I was wondering if anyone has any specific advice for how to make it through the begining of the year were you don't know anyone.

The advice offering is pretty much the same.

Read the Freshmen one, and most, if not all, is applicable to the sophomores and juniors.

Entering as a junior is tough, really tough. Junior year is hard and making that transition only adds to the loads of pressure. Lots on CC would say that it’s best to apply as a repeat sophomore, actually, and that also bumps up the numbers of the rest of the new kids.

But, anyways, I agree with Mrnephew. Advice on making friends and adjusting to the courseloads will be the same. Anything else will differ from school to school and person to person. The real, honest trick is to go in with an open mind and ask for help when you need it, and that won’t change from grade to grade.
