Advice for Sophmore Year in High School

Okay, so i'm starting to get a bit obsessed about college. My GPA for freshman year was low (UW 3.5, W 3.8) or around those stats. I took 3 honors classes and i didn't get any Cs. My lowest grade was a B- in biology, which has worried me very very much.

So that's why i'm trying to prepare for Sophomore year of high school so that i'll get straight As and have times to build up my resume.

Classes i'm taking Sophomore Year:

Marketing 1 (took debate and forensics last year)
HN Algebra 2
HN Chemistry
HN English 10
AP World History
Gym
Spanish 3

Does anyone know about these classes? And can i get some advice for them. Also what should i be doing right now for preparing for college? I really want to go to UVA or a 4year scholarship to Virginia Tech ( i live in Virginia). And since i'm a triplet (even though my family is pretty well off) i would definetly like a 4 year scholarship. But only to a good univeristy. No community colleges.

I want to go into business or physcoloy. If i go into business, i definitely want to be a strategic planning analyst (dream job)

So far the only internships I've done is my current one; an internship at the Smithsonin. Its a special program for rising sophomores and juniors. 6 week summer program and 10 week fall program. (Only on Saturdays for the fall)

The internships focused on science and math for minorities. In the fall we have college classes where we get to tour some local colleges in D.C and learn about what we have to do now for preparing for college.

So is there any advice you guys can give me? Or any cmments about my current credentials. Should i do some volunteer work this summer as well? Look for internships during the Spring? Get some prep books for APUSH?

I’m also going to be a sophomore and I’m taking some of the same classes as you are. I’m taking:
AP World History
Chemistry Honors
English 2 Honors
Geometry Honors
Orchestra 4
Financial Operations Honors
Spanish 4 Honors
I guess the only one that I can really give you advice about is Spanish 3. Spanish 3 isn’t all that complex if you pay attention. It introduces more verb tenses so you should try to perfect the ones you already know. There is also a lot of vocabulary. Just try your best and if you don’t understand ask your teacher because the is a lot to learn in the course. Good luck! It’s all about class of 2014  lol
