Advice for US Resident Living Abroad

I am a CA resident living abroad. I have gone all 4 years of HS at an IB International School. I just toured engineering schools and I am finding out that what my school offered (small school, small offerings) is not adequate for acceptance into Engineering school. In fact, they do not even offer subject tests in the SAT in our country. Will this be taken into consideration or overlooked if this can be explained? My school is so small (16 in my class) that there are no choices…math is math in each grade…we all take the same exact schedule. I am hoping that because it is an IB Bilingual Program that this will make up for the lake of choices and variety. What do you all think?

Your school record will be judged in light of the school you attend. A school report will be required for admission that will describe your high school program. If your courses are all college prep and you meet entrance requirements for the number of required credits you will likely be okay. Is your “math” class cover up through pre-calculus? Did your science classes cover biology, chemistry and physics? Contact the schools you are interested in to find out if your courses are accepted. If you need to, you may be able to fill in missing requirements online.
