Within the next week or so, I'm going on vacation to New England, and in that time frame, I'll be visitng Brown, B.C., and Northeastern. Any advice on visitng any of these places, in any field?

what do ya mean?? advice as to how to get there or what to do??

I mean like, what will people at these colleges generally ask you when you visit, how well learned you should be of the college already, how you should present yourself, etc.

well i havent visited Brown as of yet but interning at northeastern and i have visited BC and all i can tell you is to visit each of the school's websites and read up as to what they offer for visiting prospecties...at northeastern and BC they currently only have campus tours and information sessions so you dont need to do much research on them cause they tell ya all you need to know at the tour and i.s. just have some background about the school....like you should know that Northeastern is known for its co-op program and it is primarily a five year school because of it

also a word of advice when you visit the schools try to spend as much time as possible on campus so you can get a feel for it...try and see if you can find a place to eat lunch at campus so you can see how life there is like...take full advantage of your visit cause you prolly wont be able to visit again

Summer visits do not always provide the type of "feel" one might need to make an informed decision about living on a particular campus. If you can get an interview that might help you understand the school in greater depth particularly if you take the time to learn more about the school and prepare some questions that hit on areas of interest for you.

Just a point of clarification about Northeastern. There is a four year program with co-op included. Students who choose the four program do one co-op instead of three. Co-op is also optional for students in the College of Arts and Sciences, so you can do any many internships as you like or none at all. But you would have to be crazy not to do at least one.

Here are some Northeastern trip reports:

yep forgot about that thnx maxiumus =P

Questions like these have been answered many a time.. try searching. =)
