So I've applied to two schools as a sophomore transfer (I'm currently a freshman) and was hoping some students who have previously transferred could offer some advice. I am loving the school I am at (a top 30 university) but still feel like if I got into either one of the two schools I applied to, I would have a hard time not going based only on the fact that they would undoubtedly offer more long term benefits and opportunities. Many people tell me that this is not a legitimate reason for transferring and that I should only leave if I am unhappy. I figure that if my parents will be paying basically the same price, I should go to one of the better schools, and that while I'll miss my friends, I'll still be able to make new ones. Can anyone comment and tell me what their personal experience was like? Was it as hard to adjust and make friends as people say it is? Thanks!
