See, I'm 400km from our testing center.(International here) So for the past 2 months, I travel on Thursday night, reach the city Friday morning for the Saturday test date. The problem is, 4 typhoons had struck our country for the past few weeks, the last one even bigger than our country(Philippines). All routes we could think are closed and all the flights had been canceled. I don't think I'll be able to take the SAT I.

My dad proposed that since the typhoon is already going away, we could travel afterwards(6 hours from the moment I post this). There's a possibility that we may be stranded, and the journey is somehow unsafe... should I take this chance?

I got a dismal 1280 on the October SAT, and I believe I could get pass a 1400 now. But is this worth our car, our time, or even our life? Should I go ahead and take test, or just explain to the admission officers the circumstances, using the hopefully-high January 2005 SAT II scores as proof of the potential of my improvement?

Please help. I need reply within 1 hour.

Thank you.

(SOrry if I sound a bit incoherent here. I couldn't think straight because of the pressures, stress, lack of sleep and everything...)

if you really think you'll be putting your life or car on the line, DONT. I'm sure the adcoms will be understanding in this of all cases. good luck

It depends on whether u feel the weather is ok.. But if its really bad, i dont think u should risk it... u can somehow explain it to the colleges

I wouldn't. If you explain the situation to the admissions office they will understand. You can probably take the SAT I in january as well. Also, 1280 is a great school for most schools. Unless you're aiming for supercompetitive schools ill think u'll be fine.

LOL good job. I'm still laughing ar you phrase, "it's not THAT fatal now." Hahaha, either its fatal or its not. You can't be dead and... live-dead... hehe...yeah. But you get my point.

I'm still jubilant. whistle whistle whistle

Now my next step is to ace my SAT IIs: I had scores enough to make me kill myself. But ah, there's hope, there's hope.
continues whistling
