advice anyone?

Well UF and FSU are the best that FL's got to offer, well, and UMiami.

I'd post this to the UF and FSU threads to see what they say. I think I read somewhere that UF is becoming more and more selective, especially with out of staters. I think. Can't quite remember :(

UF's costs for undergrads who are out of state is: $27,632 / $27,019
For FSU, it's $23,974.00

I can tell you right now, the UF people are going to swear up and down that they're the best in every major except music. Is it true? Who knows. According to the US World report thing, it is. Juuust a friendly forewarning :)

No - it's not true. That's silly sales hype propagated by people who don't know any better.

Read some of the posts I put in the FSU section. UF has their strengths and so does Florida State. They don't duplicate each other too much.

If you live in Georgia, go to UGA or Tech. Tuition is free with HOPE! Feel bad for everyone else who pay for college :)

You've got the grades but the SAT is a big maybe.

I got into Tech with a 610 Math, 590 Verbal, and 570 Writing...your legit for GT

go to UGA...

there you have it...this topic is done :)

UGA and GT are fine schools.

However, compare the programs you want (or may be interested in) and visit each school. Speak with Admissions and the staff of the departments that interest you.

Go where it fits for you. If money is an issue, see what your figures will be - and speak to Admissions. FSU, for example, offers scholarships to kids with high achievement. Tuition waivers may also apply. But, you must speak with staff, personally, and present your accomplishments to them to see for sure.

Unless you get in the 30s for ACTs, you have no chance at UF, and rochester. I have an 1190, and wouldnt waste an app. at those schools. Even FSU is becoming hard to get into with those stats.

Ehh she's in with FSU.

Georgia Tech actually has a very high acceptance rate since no one wants to go there. I know a bunch of people with 1100's that got accepted there albeit high gpa's.

UGA and UF have higher standards with UF a little higher. UGA was actually harder to get into than Tech this year.

FSU isnt as easy to get into as you think....
