Advice Needed: Morrill Scholars Program

PLEASE HELP!!!
Hello and thank you in advance!
I am desperate for advice and/or guidance regarding Ohio State’s Morrill Scholars Program and what admissions is looking for in an applicant’s essay.
If you applied and received the scholarship, could you tell me the kind of things you wrote about?
And if you applied and didn’t get it, could you tell me the same thing?
When did you apply for this scholarship?
When did you apply to OSU?
Also, any tips or extra or helpful information is very much welcomed and appreciated!
PM’g me is preferable, but if you just post on here that’s fine as well.
Thank you!!

Anyone???

First of all, is there something about you or your life experience that is “diverse” (i.e. a minority, heavily involved in something related to diversity, etc.), or a resident of an Ohio Appalachian county? Beyond grades, they look at these things first.

(Although sometimes it seems that their definition of “adding diversity” is confounding…)

I am 100% Hispanic: 50% Mexican, 50% Puerto Rican. Also, I am in the process of starting up a nonprofit charity for Hispanics with diabetes.

Also, I am Spanish club president!

I think this is a good beginning, icegem91, and would be even better if you could speak to how your experiences with the charity could lead to analogous leadership diversity efforts at OSU or in Columbus. How are you going to make OSU or Columbus a better place for all people. I’m spkg without any experience of OSU’s Morrill scholarships, however. Nonetheless, I’d encourage you to apply for the Morrill scholarships if you meet the minimum qualifications the website lists.
