Hey, I'm an international currently doing my GCSE A-levels in Singapore. I'm from a school that does not traditionally have applicants to Stanford or US universities for that matter so I'm stuck with filling in the application and writing essays. Hope there will be people that are able to solve my problem.

On the application:
1. I was selected and participated in a research attachment at the end of last year (equivalent to summer break at North America). So should that be included in the "Academic Honors and Programs" section? But then earlier during the school year this year, after the attachment ended, I went back did more work on the research I did (self-initiative). Spent about 1 term there. So should that still be included in the "Academic Honors and Programs" section or should I include it under the extracurricular activities?
2. I'm in a club that services the school's library and organise various activities for the school population but the name of the club is Media Resource Library so I'm afraid there will be misconception on what the club actually do. Should I attach a note somewhere to explain the nature of the club? If so where?
3. I have an interest in doing digital art been doing it since I'm about 13/14. Should that be included in the extracurricular section? Besides that, I'm also thinking of sending in my artwork. I did a number of posters, personalized greeting cards for friends, blog layout etc. For an art supplement, if I'm not mistaken, an art mentor is required. But the problem is I'm pretty much self-thought and I did not participate in any competitions, clubs etc.

On the essays:
I've been doing some thinking on what I want to write in my essays but I'm a tad uncertain about them.
Short essay on activities and interests: Write about my interest in designing poster for my club and what I learn from it.
Short essay on intellectual interests: My only idea is about writing why Physics is interesting and why I love it.
A note to roommate: An account of an afternoon in my room with my roommates. Hope to show diversity here.
Long essay: Planning to write on the quote essay based on a quote my Grade 7 - 9 maths teacher keeps saying. The quote is about choices. I plan to write about not able to grasp the meaning of it but through a few incidents (involving my close friends) I finally understand it.

So thats it. Thanks in advance!
