Hi. I will be a freshman entering college this fall. I intend to major in Biology and declare myself as a premed student. I have registered to take Intro to Bio, Bio Lab, Intro to Chem, Calculus, and Psychology. This all add up to be 15 hours of credit. Is this too much for my first semester of first year? Should I drop Bio Lab and replace it with Economics? I have been told that taking a variety of classes is beneficial. However, I would love to read opinions of others. Thanks.

if you dont mind having two labs a week, you're fine. (i assume that by intro to chem, you mean CH33)

Are you registering at brown? 15 credit hours????? Are you talking about bio 20?

i don't think this person's registering at brown since this is posted at a bunch of other schools, too. plus bio 20 is in the spring, and i don't think we have any other sort of "intro to bio" course.

If you're not coming to Brown, why post this on the Brown forums? Put it in whatever school you're going to, or the "College Life" section.

Put it in the pre-med forum.

ooh okk....don't make such a big deal out of my posting this on your school's forum. I just wanted to know what other people's opinions were.

uhhhh.......Clearly no two schools and sets of classes are the same, so our opinion having experienced only Brown's curriculum, is irrelevant.
