Hi guys, I'm self-studying AP comsci after taking 2 years of regular comsci (most loaft class) and worked through Barron's by myself. In Barron's practice MCs I've been getting around 80% and the online released FRQs seem to be extremely accessible (I write the codes and check the guidelines - usually dock 1-1.5 points at most)

Based on previous experiences is this enough for a 5 on the AP Comsci A test? I'm not sure about the accuracy of Barron's tests but they seem darn difficult :S

Thanks!

Barron’s is ridiculously hard compared to the actual exam so you’ll be fine. The cutoff is 62-80 for a 5 so it isn’t that bad. I took a mock exam at my school and got a 4 but I had a 57 or so because I didn’t study for it so I’m planning on studying all day tomorrow. Good luck!

You’re getting 80% on Barron’s? You should be fine, those things are ridiculous. With an around 78 percent average, straight 7s on the FRQs will give you a 5, that is a 31/40 on the MC and 7s on the FRQs. If you’re getting 7.5-8s, and then 80% of mc, you’ll get your five.

Thanks! Wrote the exam today, the multiple choice was slightly annoying with the traces, but the FRQs were more than manageable. Overall I found Barron’s to have been more than comprehensive in covering the topics and difficulty.

Yeah, I agree the MC tracing was really annoying.
