Advice on Prelim Schedule

so i need advice on the ap classes i plan to take for the next three years.

Soph Year
AP Biology
AP Calculus AB
AP European History

Junior Year
AP Physics B or AP Physics C
AP Calculus BC
AP US History
AP English Language

Senior Year
AP Psychology or AP Human Geography, I can't decide
AP Statistics
AP Government and Politics
AP English Literature
AP French

anyone think there is a class in there i should NOT take?

don't take european history, don't take physics c, don't take AB if you're gonna take BC, don't take Human Geography

the above poster needs to clear out his PM box

take psych it looks better, and take physics c, and don't do calc ab. go straight to bc. that way you can have another ap.

dont take ap french if your teacher's a *****

Skip AB take BC, take Psychology.

what is your prospective major

Self-study either psych or human geo, whichever one you don't end up taking (if you feel up to it, that is). Take physics C! You'll have the calc knowledge already...unless you plan to go into the humanities, in which case you'll be fine with B.

my useless advice

Euro sucked (I don't really like history though, plus it was my first AP class)
Psych was a lot of fun (but that could be attributed to the teacher and/or students. then again, i didn't mind doing my homework. it was the first social studies class i've ever enjoyed)

Soph Year
AP Biology- not the best AP to take as an underclassman, i would switch with psych
AP Calculus AB- ew, you'll be taking BC anyway, why are you taking this?
AP European History

Junior Year
AP Physics B or AP Physics C- take C if you take calculus
AP Calculus BC
AP US History
AP English Language- not that helpful imo, helps you write timed essays but not really any other essays. at least for my teacher

Senior Year
AP Psychology or AP Human Geography, I can't decide= psych psych
AP Statistics
AP Government and Politics
AP English Literature- take either lang or lit, not both. a lot of colleges don't take credit for 2
AP French

just because you know calculus doesn't make c the most

if you know calc, then b shouldn't be that hard...

take c if you're gonna major in like engineering...

I don't know many colleges that accept euro hist, but I mean if your college does, I guess take it

what classes are you interested in?

i want to major in political science in college.
at my school, you have to take calc AB before calc BC, and it's best if you take both.
ap euro is basically a gpa booster for me, its the AP that many sophomores take as their only one.

it's best? at my school it's either AB or BC....i'm glad it's a gpa booster, but why pay for a test that you aren't serious about?

^ AP awards maybe?

At my school you have to take AB before BC as well. I've never heard of anyone take BC instead of AB.
Well, my school is kind of weird...we only offer up to AB (TINY school), so you have to take BC at a normal high school, and my school only lets people in the AB class sign up for BC at a normal high school next year.

Take AP Psych rather than AP Human Geo. Just self-study for Human Geo.

Which AP Physics C would you be taking? E&M or Mech?

My school is like that too, it only offers BC after AB. That's why I believe in self-studying AB to get to BC.

Uhh, I'd say take Psych out of those two.

i'm taking the ap euro exam for ap awards, like somone had referenced above. i heard it looks hella sweet if you get a really high ap award.
and, i was thinking of taking the ap calc ab class, and then self studying bc. i'm good at math so it shouldn't be hard at all.

bump bump bump
