Lacrosse is too expensive.

^ohh yes definitely....me and one of my friends decided to randomly try lacrosse freshman year so we asked about it ....and we have this pay -to play thing at our school and we both had already paid for it for fall sports and they said they would charge again for lax and it was like over 300 just to participate....sry the grammar in that blurb was kinda bad

ive never cared for it my assitant teacher in 7th grade played it at his college and had talked about his games, but i had not really ever gained such a interest

i played it in pe too but i had never really favored it, i guess me and lacrosse were never meant to be

hey did XC start today?

it was raining so i decided not to go

it was raining so i decided not to go, my dad had to driver my young brother to camp too and he had worked at the hospital over the and he was tired, so i didnt want to pester him, and my mom goes to work to early, so ya, and besides im not at the age where i can drive yet :(

i am going to go this monday, i had emailed my coach about it and he had excused me

Raining days are the best days to run, right behind the snow days :)

nope they are definately not!

Well, if you expect to be on a team you will have to come everyday and not just skip days because 'you decided not go'. Especially if you need to develop your shape.

rainy days are the best.!!!......it snowy is fun...one time i went with two other people becuase everyone else decided to go home(it was optional) it was like a blizzard and there was a couple of inches of snow on the ground.kinda stupid but we went like 3 miles and then decided that it was was REALLY cold...but it was soo much fun.....sean, go for a run today!!...its nice out...at least where i am...

so...how did it go?

it was so hard, i had to run 6 miles and i almost got lost, everyone was so far ahead of me i was jogging along the streets by myself. I then got a cramp so i slowed down to a walk. In addition to this 6 miles we also had to run/jog back.. then the captain then is on his way back, passing me when i had completed only like 2.5 miles. Heres what happened i came to this turn i didnt know whether to go left or right, so i chose right and then i had noticed i went the wrong way, so then a 1/16 of a mile in, i decided to turn back, and there were all these cars sticking there hands out the window,, like mocking me. So then i came back to go back to the beginning, THe coach was very nice and had let me run only the 5 miles and then i had ran back with these two girls who were really fast considering they had went like 8 or so miles and were on there way back. I thought it was okay at the end. And you were right the coach lets you go in the river, but i decided not to, considering i was out of breath and my feet felt like wobly jello
I feel like i can concentrate more i feel as though im a stronger person though

It really helps me

Yikes, 5 miles on your first day? I think I barely ran 3 on my first day, and by "ran" I mean jogged slowly and walked some. On long practice runs, try to think of anything except what you're doing. It helps pass the time.

Good call on turning back after you got lost--I had a couple friends make a wrong turn on a run and they ended up running an extra 6 miles.

Just keep that positive attitude, and when the season's over you'll be amazed at how far you've come.

Wow, congratulations! Just keep this going and come to practices no matter what.

i have a question

I was running for 30 minutes i just got back and my legs are really tired and in the middle i got a cramp, so i had to walk a while, then i went bavk to jogging.

Is that normal?

These are like my first two times running, so obviously im not in condition yet

clearly you're just starting out. so, try a warm up first. do a fast power walk for a few minutes, stretch, then run for 5 minutes, then walk, then run, then walk, etc. and stretch afterward too. don't try to do too much at once.

thankyou, that sounds like a good idea, because i was getting cramps in the middle but i continued jogging, my coach said to run for 30 minutes on days theres no practice, and we are aloud to jump in a river, but i prefer not too, for i was tired and just wanted to go to sleep:)

I dont have practice today so i did it on my own
