Advice on transferring into Pharmacy programs from community college

I was planning on transferring into the University of Sciences after two years of community college into their Pharmacy program. I called and was informed that usually there are only 15 spots open and are usually filled with students who have recieved bachelor degrees from four year universities and then transfer in and finish up their degree. I had hoped to finish in six years instead of 8. I was told that I could still try to transfer in after taking the pcat but that the chances are not very high. I have a 4.0 GPA. Any other suggestive paths? Or colleges?

I have my Bachelor of Science degree from a four year private university- I applied to two pharmacy schools near my home and I got into both. Although they say that a Bachelor’s degree is not technically required, it is an unspoken rule nowadays. You are competing against a LOT of people with Bachelor’s degree from reputable universities, therefore, this is why your chances are not very high. Pharmacy schools are much much EASIER to get into once you have a bachelor’s degree- you also have to remember that a LOT of students also hope to finish in six years (heck! I want to finish in four years after high school) but in the majority of the cases, they have to go through eight.
