I am signing up my son this week for the June subject tests. The GC at his school is pretty much useless so I thought I would ask you for help. The deadline for signing up is 5/5/2010 so this is pretty last minute.

He is a junior who is in Chem1 and doing well, Pre-Calc and doing well, Spanish 4 and doing well and is an honors English student as well. I hate to say this but his History is terrible so those tests are not an option.

He plans on being and English/Math double major in college.

He took the SAT for the first time in December with no prep and got 630 Math, 660 CR and 710 Writing. He took it again this past weekend with some study and thinks he did OK but who knows.

He got a 211 on the PSAT this past fall with his high score being 75 in writing-I can't recall the other two but they were around the same in the mid 60's.

My real concern is which Math should he take-1 or 2? I think he should take Chemistry but maybe that's wrong since he hasn't even finished Chem 1 yet.

Would he be better to wait and take these next fall? He will be taking the SAT in September for the last time for better or worse so would he be better off taking the subject tests in October?

I look forward to whatever help/advice you can offer. I can't believe the GC can't give him better information.

Thanks.
