Hi guys..:)
I need an advice, please help me:)
I'm a citizen of Belarus(eastern europe), in october i will begin my studies in U.S. style university in Prague(czech republic), the full name is University of New York in Prague, but actually i will be earning a Business Administration degree of SUNY Empire State College (partnership university). According to my plans I'm going to transfer after 2nd year of studying to more prestigious college then SUNY ESC. Please reccommend me what to do these 2 years to have a good chance to transfer to a top university. I know that GPA should be good, may be you can add some more important tips? And should i pass SAT and IELTS exam? I heard that if I will be a junior student it is not required. And the last thing, financial problems, i can pay only 15-20k per year, so scholarship or financial aid is necessary, i know that chaces are low, but still i have two years to prepare, and i will do my best!
Thank you for your help!

There are relatively few absolutes in college admissions, particularly for transfers. You need to go to the websites of each of the colleges you’re interesting in applying to and see what their testing requirements are for Intl. jr transfer applicants.

Thanks for your advice:)

It would be helpful if someone else will help me…no one had such experience?

There are tons of Intl. applicants, many of whom need FA. The fact of the matter is, as you know, it’s very difficult because only the most selective schools also offer substantial FA to Intl. students, and these schools are very difficult to be admitted to.

See the Transfer Admissions 101 thread at the top of this forum for what schools look for.

I’ve read
very informative thanks very much:)
but the question is…how to go through these difficulties, I think that if you have a good plan how to prepare, and know what is necessary all will be cool. That is why I want you to advise me what are the most important things to do.
