I'm a Sophomore at George Washington University. After a year and half, I will be done my math, science, humanities, literacy, and social science requirements. Right now, I'm just working on my majors (English priority, Poli Sci if it can fit) and on my foreign language (just finished my first semester of Italian). My GPA will be between 3.80-3.90 after this semester and I am thinking about transfering. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on my chances at better schools. I've been thinking about UChicago or Berkeley, although I heard UCal's deadline was November 30th. My SATS were 630 Math, 640 Writing and 680 Verbal w/a 4 GPA in High School. Any suggestions on schools, etc. Thanks.

anybody? it isn't really worth it to me unless I make a big leap. I might try Brown. Columbia and Dartmouth...any other suggestions, opinions?

Cal's deadline has passed, yes.

UChicago has historically accepted a goodly number of transfer applicants. Don't know if that's still true.

Hard to recommend schools for you with nothing to go on other than you want "better." If better means higher ranked, then all you have to do is look at the rankings and guesstimate whether you fit based on your hs and test stats. Your college GPA is outstanding which could bump you up a bit in competitiveness.
